Hello

I would like to make a flower bouquet cake for my mums birthday, I have attached a photo to this post to show you what I am thinking of making. I'm self taught amateur cake decorator and I'm not sure how to make the (pink) wrap around the bouquet. I will make a cake make sugarpaste flowers but wondering is it worth buying tissue paper or can is there something I can use that will give the look of a bouquet wrap that will stay up.
I would really appreciate any advice please
Kind regards
Laura

For the bouquet wrap, you can use sugarpaste or fondant, which will stay up nicely and blend with your sugarpaste flowers. Simply roll it out thinly and wrap it around the cake, securing it with a bit of edible glue or water. If you want a more delicate look, edible rice paper or wafer paper can also work well. Tissue paper is an option, but it won't stay up on its own, so you'll need to secure it temporarily.
