If you had one wish that could be granted to you, what would it be? I would wish for the money to get a house right now and have the house paid in full. I would also love it to have a gourmet kitchen so I could cook and bake all of the time.

Hmm...if I only had one wish I would probably wish for the ability to be good at school and anything educational/learning related. If I can't do that, I would definitely wish for a large amount of money so I can pay off my student loans and get my masters's/PhD with the money I have.

I totally agree with the money wishes. I have a great daughter and literally the only thing that sucks about my life is lack of money. In my case, money would literally buy happiness because it would pay bills and provide security. I guess I would wish for enough money to last the rest of my life. That doesn't mean I would want to be rich, I would just like to be able to pay my bills and normal living expenses for the rest of my life without worrying.

I have four wonderful kids and six grandchildren and one great granchild. I would like to be able to help one daughter pay off her bills so she could get the house she wanted, one daughter I would just like to be able to give her and her husband the vacation they deserve. My son, I would like to be able to help him and his wife get a house. The last daughter, I would just like to be able to help her get on her feet and living on her own. I would like to be able to provide my grandchildren and great grand daughter the money to pay for their educations. I do not have a lot, but I am content with my own life.

If I had one wish I would wish for unlimited wishes. That way I would not have to worry about making my mind up.

Seems like money is the big thing. I guess some of us work online to help ourselves out a little more, but it would be nice not to have to worry about bills. I also do not need to be rich, but I want to be able to be comfortable for the rest of my life.

I would wish for good health. Over the past few years, I have been working hard to improve my overall health and strength. It's been a challenge.

For six months, I have been walking up and down hills trying to lose weight. And, I have to a certain degree, but I still have more work to do.

I think if I got my health more in order, everything else in my life would improve include finances.

If I had one wish I would wish for financial freedom. Financial freedom means enough money to cover my living expenses. If I had my living expenses covered, it would free up some much time for me to pursue the things that give me joy. I do believe it's possible if I was a bit more disciplined. My self management skills have slacked off in recent years.

I know that I initially said financial freedom, but I think I would wish for me self discipline. I think that's the real key for me.

My one wish would be the money to cover my college tuition for the next 5 years. Maybe even a car, and just to help people with the career I chose.

Well, the world is set up to take our money and everything revolves around money, so it's no surprise that most people would wish for more money.
The world is a harsh place that punishes people with late fees and overdraft fees if they don't make enough money. Money can buy happiness because it can provide comfort and security.

If I had one wish it would be to win the lottery so I would have enough money to build shelters for all the abused, neglected and homeless animals in our society. It breaks my heart that there are so many that need loving homes. I would love to change all of that. I feel that it is our responsibility to care for and speak for those that can't. :)

Ugh, right now I'm short of my rent and worried about eviction with Christmas 2 months away. I wish my landlord would give me more time to pay it out.
I bust my butt to pay that guy and he charges crazy late fees.

I'd wish for all my health issues to be magically solved :) If that couldn't be granted then I'd wish for a lot cash! I'd wish for 10 million euros, hehehehe! Dreaming big here, I know! But that kind of money would be more than enough to cover my health care fees.

*HUGS* I know how you are feeling! I'm also working on improving my health, but it seems more and more things get in my path to the point I'm starting to think my life is either a dramatic Mexican soap opera or just plain ridiculous move with a bad plot and awful writers. Best of luck losing weight! I hope you manage to lose all the weight you need to lose soon!

I also wish for that, Tara. There is nothing I wish more than having financial freedom (maybe getting my good health back - they go hand in hand). Right now I don't really have financial freedom and it's something that really scares me. I envy those who do it must be such a great feeling!

I wish that my fiancé and I could have enough money to be comfortable or that we could somehow succeed at our own business. I'd like it if he could quit work, take the pressure off myself, and to be able to spend more time enjoying each others company and pursuing dreams together instead. I wouldn't want to be rich or anything, just enough to live a stress free life and allow us to follow more fulfilling pursuits. At the moment we can't afford to live together and I'm unemployed due to my depression/anxiety problems. My sister and her partner can't afford to get anywhere either. It's not ideal. I wish I could just magic it all away so that we could live happier lives.

I'm sorry that your family is going through all that right now. It looks like lack of money is the source of all our problems. That makes it sound really stupid when celebrities like Beyonce do poverty awareness campaigns and then spend $800,000 a week to rent a yacht in Corsica.

Thanks. I think it's difficult for a lot of young people trying to get their lives started out at the moment. I've spoken to a lot of people still living at home and desperate to get somewhere only facing a lack of options. I agree, I know I shouldn't judge, but when celebrities spend a fortune on things we'd consider a luxury you can't help thinking it'd be better put towards helping people who really need it. There are a number of different charities that I would love to donate more to if only I had the money. At least celebrities can use their status to try and raise awareness of these things, it just doesn't always feel like they fully understand what it's like to go without.

True, I don't think some celebrities understand what it's like to go without. If I was a celebrity and I was given the option to rent a yacht in Corsica for $800,000 a week, I would choose a cheaper vacation and donate the $800,000 to charities that provide housing or food to families that need the help. Some families fall between the cracks because they earn just a little too much to qualify for food stamps but not enough to do okay without them.
