Hello
I made a sherry trifle for Christmas. I added the recommended amount of sherry, in fact a little more.
The base consisted of sponge, jelly, fruit.
The trifle set ok. But there was no taste of sherry at all. In fact there was a mild salty taste, I thought.
I have made this before and it worked.
Any one know what could have gone wrong. I am wondering did the jelly soak up the sherry or something. Did I put too much sherry in - would it disappear
Want to make another for New Year, so any tips much appreciated
