Baking as an art

Do you think baking should be considered as a specific kind of art? While baking, we can use a lot of creativity and after that we can get a real masterpiece, just like real artists do. What do you think?

Yeah, I agree. Baking should also be classified as an art form. I mean, just look at some cakes people make! Some people can make towers or statues out of their cakes. They are very dedicated to their craft and have unlimited supply of creativity and patience.

Yeah, that's so true! I was lucky to meet a woman who makes amazing cakes in all shapes and sizes and I was watching her while she was doing it. So much patience must be there and, like you said, creativity at the first place.

Exactly! Some people thing that creating edible masterpieces is something almost anyone can do, but it's not! It takes dedication, talent and skill and patience a lot of people don't have. You can't just throw a bit of icing and sprinkles together and call it a masterpiece!

I've always believed that there is an art to most things. In the right hands someone can take something other perceive to be mundane or of the norm and turn it into something moving. Baking is particularly hard, for me at least, it takes patience and a delicate hand and planning. I look at what bakers do with cakes and I'm a little jealous and full heartedly impressed.

Baking can be an art and it definitely deserves more respect. I've seen some incredible cakes that belong in a museum. It takes talent and imagination to whip up a cake that looks like a replica of Hogwarts.

I would definitely say it's an art form and that it takes creativity for sure- I don't know how else people could make such amazing cakes and other desserts that are so gorgeous!
