I couldn't find a category for puddings and custards, and figured this was probably the closest thing. This is an easy recipe, and would be good when you don't feel like doing too much, but want a nice dessert or comfort food. It would also be good to use when teaching children about measurements and baking/cooking. There's no added sugar, so it's not overly sweet, because the corn and cornstarch provides enough sweetener. http://m.allrecipes.com/recipe/15985/grandmas-corn-pudding/?mxt=t06rda

I've never heard of corn pudding but comfort foods are always a nice thing to have recipes for! I enjoy other types of puddings and custards so I think l would love this too. The ingredient list looks nice and straightforward as well -- which is always a good thing for convenience's sake!

My family traditionally makes a corn pudding soufflé every Christmas. It's pretty much the only way I like sweet corn. Otherwise I only like milking corn for corn bread and polenta.

I actually just heard of corn pudding for the first time the other day, what a coincidence that you posted a thread about it. Sounds like this would be a good treat if you are looking to eat something that is a little sweet without all of the added sugar. I am not sure if my husband or kids would enjoy it very much because they are very picky eaters. My husband does not like dessert unless it is super sweet .

I had no idea they made corn pudding! I guessed it was possible, but didn't know people actually made a dessert with it. It sounds like an interesting pudding to try, I love puddings in general, but my favorite flavor is and will always be chocolate :) Not a big fan of vanilla. This might be a very interesting recipe to try.

I ended up making a corn casserole, but a moist one, so it was pretty similar to corn pudding. I did that because I had leftover Mexican Roasted corn, and so I decided a casserole would be more appropriate, since it was savory, rather than sweet. The corn puddings are typically not overly sweet, but definitely sweeter than casseroles. I did add in a tbsp of sugar, though, just to add a little flair. It came out yummy, and was just what I needed to quench my corn craving.
