One of the biggest discoveries I made was that my omelette maker could do double duty as a mini baking oven. What I do is mix my batter, pour it into the funnel holes and close the cover. The same amount of time to make an omelette is almost equal to baking a muffin or mini cake.

Here's what I use. I bought it for $6.00 at Walgreen's.

Yes, I used a sandwich maker similar to your omelet maker to make triangular waffles and muffins. During that time I was without an oven so I used whatever I had.

I have used the little two section triangular sandwich maker for several things. I have made cornbread with a piece of hot dog in it so it was like a corndog to pour chili over or to eat out of hand as well as plain cornbread. Cake mix poured in the spots make nice little individual cakes. I have also used it to make quesadillas with tortillas and cheese, ect fillings. Many years ago I made flower pot cakes in a terra cotta flower pot. I would grease and flour it really well so the cake would come up and then frost the exterior and put frosting on top with crushed oreos for soil and then gummie worms coming up from the dirt and artificial flowers stuck in it.
