Hi

I am very interested in making some poolish bread. I have seen videos on how to do it but they tend to be for x2 loaves or more. I want to know how much poolish I should make for just one average sized loaf. Can anyone help ?

I will be most grateful !

For one average-sized loaf, you can use about 100 grams of poolish. To make the poolish, mix 100 grams of flour, 100 grams of water, and a pinch of yeast. Let it sit at room temperature for 12-16 hours until bubbly. For the final dough, mix this poolish with 300 grams of flour, 150 grams of water, 10 grams of salt, and 2 grams of yeast.
