Unique ingredients for cornbread?

I was curious to know what other ingredients you've added to corn bread? Like kernels of corn, hot peppers ect...
Any unconventional corn bread recipes you could suggest?

There's already a cornbread thread and I posted a recipe that I found on Pinterest for maple bacon cornbread. That's an unusual cornbread recipe.

I tried a recipe for cornbread recently that used sour cream, and it came out with a very nice taste and texture.

I have been experimenting lately with a version of mexican cornbread. To my regular cornbread mixture:
half a cup finely diced onion
Five ring jalopenos diced fine (from jar)
ten ring banana peppers diced fine (from Jar)
one fourth cup finely chopped bell pepper
one cup corn (drained)
1 tsp. sugar
3 tbsp red pimento

Bake at 350 til golden. It was a big win with the family.
