Why doesn't my dough rise enough?

Your dough might not be rising enough if your yeast is old, the water temperature is off (should be around 110°F), or you’re not giving it enough time to rise in a warm place. Also, make sure you’re using the right type of flour (bread flour works best), knead the dough well to develop gluten, and mix salt into the flour before adding it to the yeast. Check that you're using the correct amount of yeast and follow these tips to help your dough rise properly.
