Conventional or Convection Bake

What is your preferred method of baking. Right now I used convection for everything, but am wondering if it makes a difference when baking. What do you think?

I have never ever used a convection oven. How is it different from using a regular oven ? Is it more like a microwave maybe.
I have heard of them, but have just never seen one, or known anyone who has one.
My daughter has a cooler of some sort that works by hot spinning air, or something like that. I forget what she called it, but maybe that is the same thing.
