Hello, I am an at home baker and my specialty is cakes, I do offer other treats, I do not limit my menu at all. I have an upcoming order of a total of 96 treats. It is for a friends baby shower, she always pays me for any treats (I usually do offer a discount). She ordered 24 cupcakes, 24 dipped pretzels, 24 dipped rice Krispie's, 24 chocolate covered Oreos. I have done these treats separately so they are not new to me. I am just struggling with how much to charge. She does not want a very detailed design, just something simple. The total for all the materials and ingredients is going to be about $80

I run 25% food cost, that covers everything else, shopping, packaging etc.
That would put the price at $320. Thats baseline, the problem with weddings is details that creep in such as very fancy packaging, in a custom bag with a ribbon and a card, it adds hours to a simple job.

Wow, 96 treats is a lot! 😍 I’d definitely find this tricky to price too, especially when you have to think about ingredients, packaging, your time and all the other costs involved.
I’ve actually created a little costing/pricing spreadsheet to help me with this. I’m still figuring it all out myself, but honestly, I’ve found it to be a lifesaver! 😂
What do you normally include when you work out your price?
