Hello everyone,

i really like portuguese honey scones and i've found some recipes online.

After i've mixed all the ingredients i put them in the hoven for more or less twenty minutes, but they turn out just soft :(
Any ideas?I am a newbie :p

Thanks in advance.

Regards

Artur.

Try something simple first; keep them in the oven a bit longer or increase the heat a bit.

If you want a crisp, crusty texture (I'm not familiar with this type of scone) try putting a pan of shallow water on the bottom of the oven, or misting the oven walls with water prior to baking. DOing either of these creates steam, which causes a crisp outer crust.

Scones that I['ve had are meant to be soft and chewy. So your result sounds correct to me. However, I don't know what you are expecting for results, since i don't know this recipe or variation of scones.,
