Pizza Crust

I'm thinking about making a pizza from scratch, including the dough. I haven't done that in a long time, so I don't even recall which recipe I've used in the past for the crust. I found this one that calls for bread flour, but also has a substitution for all-purpose flour. I might see if I can remember to pick up bread flour when I'm at the store next, but it's good to know there's a substitution, just in case I forget.

Do y'all make your own pizza/pizza dough? I've never made the sauce from scratch, but eventually, I want to try that, too.

Here's the recipe, in case anyone's interesting, it's from Bobby Flay.

Diane, I can't find the recipe you are talking bout anywhere in your thread :( I think you forgot to add it. I hope you see this message and post the link, I am really interested. I will be moving soon and will be making dinner at least 5 nights a week, I need all the help I can get ;)

The only homemade pizza dough I've ever made is that quick and easy biscuit dough.

I'm lazy and have rarely ever made breads of any kind (except for using my bread machine, which does all the work) because they are time consuming.

Plus, I've always had to live in apartments and have not had much kitchen room to do anything.

I like thin pizza crust myself. I prefer more sauce and toppings than crust.

I make my own pizza dough all the time for pizzas. I make it in my bread machine on the dough cycle, and that way it's pretty easy.

I make pizza dough from scratch, that looks like a good recipe to me. My top tips would be to use a pizza stone if you have one, and I always use cornmeal when I'm shaping the dough as it stops it sticking to everything and gives a nice texture (better than using flour).

@Becky Cornmeal is my favorite. A friend's dad used to make his using cornmeal and his pizzas were the best. I don't have a pizza stone yet, but hope to someday.

I still haven't made my pizza. I'm currently relegated to a bland diet, so I'm plotting and planning what I'm going to bake and cook once I am able to get back to eating normal foods.
