Nicely done! There are not many of us who handpaint cookies. Do you sell them?

I don’t normally paint cookies, but these I did for a special purpose to raise money for a mission project and I’m auctioning them off. However, I’m also creating a few as gifts for Christmas. They take a long time to create with such detail.

If you look back through the thread, you'll see that the cookies I paint are very detailed and some have taken 1/2 an hour to an hour to do one of them. It truly has to be a labor of love to do this. They are great for auctions... most of the time they make a lot of money for very good causes. I too make them for Christmas for family and friends, but I also sell them.

I charge by size of the cookie and by intricacy. So, a small 2 1/2" to 3" cookie could cost anywhere from $1.50 to $3.00 a cookie.. .or more. It depends. This 5" portrait cookie cost $18. The people whose dog it was, shellacked it and saved it.

They are very nice. I laughed at the dog because I too have recently painted a dog cookie. It is a gift.

Quite lovely but sadly not viable for retail.
As a rule of thumb, I produced $200 of baked product per hour at an absolute minimum.

The thread is for pricing of cookies. I didn't mention retail. Of course, a hand-painted, custom cookie cannot be mass produced or a lot of product made per house. My question was the pricing of individual cookies, not just baked product.

pricing to sell to the public is called retail.
Cookies are baked product, it doesn't matter what the particular product is.

I saw oval shaped versions you made, those could be sold as wedding cake decor, like painted cameos.
Minimum order $100 a doz.
Advertise them in bridal magazine, rent a table at bridal shows.

Have you never considered hand painted food themed kitchen tiles.?
