What cake with caramel icing?

Hello I have to make a cake with caramel icing and bananas covered in fondant. Do you think banana bread cake would be good?

The first thing I thought when I saw caramel icing was an apple cake - I think apple and caramel go together really well. The bananas covered in fondant threw me for a loop, though! I think bananas and caramel would still be yummy though!

Caramel and banana sounds like a divine mix. I would certainly enjoy that cake. I've never heard of an apple cake before, but I do love my banana bread and I think that would make an awesome combination. It's definitely one that I would want to try if I had the recipe.
