Can I leave out espresso powder if a recipe calls for it?

I hate coffee. (Yes - I am weird that way.)

I have ran across recipes that call for espresso powder. Some of them are ones that otherwise I have no issue with. Can I leave this ingredient out and still have a successful outcome?

Lol. Yes. Coffee doesn’t provide any type of structure. It’s simply for flavor. Normally it’s added to something with chocolate as coffee really enhances the flavor of chocolate.
