Box colors and packaging doesn’t change for commercial pastry chefs and bakeries. Building a brand is time consuming and expensive. A business needs their customers to recognize their packaging. Laduree Macarons, McDonald’s Happy Meal, the Tiffany Blue Box are just as important to the product as to the business.

I was reading an article recently about along since closed bakery in New York. The bakery specialized in a particular type of chocolate cake. A number of comments mentioned picking up the cake in the bakeries distinct box.
