I am looking for a recipe for a vegan frosting to coat a cake.
I live in the UK and used vegan shortening (Trex) and vegan butter last week to test a recipe but absolutely hated the taste and smell. The ingredients were fresh, well within their best by dates.
I'm at a loss as Trex seems to be the leading brand in the UK and is used by Cutter and Squidge whose vegan cakes are delicious and definitely not smelly ...
Any tips?
