Bad taste in my bread

I'm following the No-knead Harvest Grains Honey Whole Wheat Bread recipe, this is from Artisan Bread with Steve on YouTube. It is a basic whole wheat bread recipe, with 1/2 cup whole grain mix and honey added. It's fluffy, chewy, and has a nasty taste. I'm new to baking, so wondering where the taste is coming from. All advice welcome.

Does your recipe call for eggs? If so, then maybe it asked for a specific size of egg. The amount of egg added/left out will affect the bread.
