Cake flavors work together?

I was wanting to do a layer cake, I haven’t made one in a while. How would these these flavors work together: Lemon and chocolate layers with almond frosting and glaze?

Orange, dark chocolate, and almond are the norm.

Lemon normally goes better with a white chocolate. And it's meh with almond.
