I love letting my daughter, who is four help me in the kitchen. I, of course, do all knife and oven work, but I enjoy recipes that let her do a huge part of the work. (She enjoys it as well!!)

We've baked cookies and she's made a pumpkin pie almost entirely by herself, but we need a new project! Help?!

What about cupcakes and cakes? I know that when my kids were about your daughter's age those were some of their favorite things to bake. I really think that their favorite part of it all was actually when they got to do the decorating after the baking was done.

That's a good idea. I've not let her decorate anything yet. Perhaps we'll have to make and decorate cupcakes for Memorial Day.
