Anyone ever use a cookbook publishing fundraiser for their local school, group or organization? I live in a 55 + community now and got to chatting about doing one for baked goods. Just did a google search and there appears to be dozens of companies..trying to narrow it down, determine what to look for. Any profit raised would go to charity. Thanks for input

That sounds like a great idea! Cookbook fundraisers can be a fun way to bring people together and raise money for a good cause. When choosing a company, look for one that offers easy recipe submission, allows customization, and has good profit margins. Also, check for quality, minimum order requirements, and reliable customer support. Since you're focusing on baked goods, it could be a wonderful way to share cherished recipes in your community while supporting charity. Good luck with your project!

That sounds like a fantastic idea! I've seen cookbook fundraisers work really well for schools and local groups. Here are a few tips that might help you choose the right company:

  1. Quality of the Product: Look for companies that offer high-quality printing and binding. Since you’re focusing on baked goods, you’ll want the images and recipes to look great.
  2. Cost and Profit Margins: Compare the costs of publishing with the potential profit margins. Some companies might offer better deals if you order in bulk or have special fundraising packages.
  3. Customization Options: Check if the company allows for customization, like adding personal notes, photos, or community messages. This can make the cookbook even more special and appealing.
  4. Experience and Reviews: Look for companies with positive reviews and a track record of successful fundraisers. It’s always helpful to see what other organizations have said about their experience.
  5. Support and Guidance: Some companies offer more support in terms of design help, marketing strategies, or even templates for your cookbook. This can make the process smoother.
  6. Timeline: Make sure to factor in the time it takes to create and print the cookbooks. You’ll want to ensure they’re ready in time for your fundraising events or sales.
Good luck with your cookbook fundraiser! It’s a wonderful way to bring the community together and support a great cause.
