I try very hard not to consume too much food in one sitting but I cannot get enough of fresh mozzarella cheese. I'm not talking about the block mozzarella near the rest of the cheese. I'm talking about the mozzarella cheese in a seperate area (usually with gourmet cheese).

My kids and I made our own pizza tonight. I simmered the sauce in bay leaves that I bought in an Indian food mart. I found they are much stronger in scent and flavor from an ethnic store. Then we spread the entire pizza in almost a pound of fresh mozzarella cheese and fresh mushrooms. It turned out so good that my son (5 yrs old) ate nearly the entire pizza. He said it was the best pizza ever! :p

Are you addicted to a specific type of food?

I love most mexican food, especially the salsa. I just can't get enough, I have it everyday with whatever else I am eating and also grilled jalepenos. Can't help my self, I sometimes like to have it really hot and sometimes mild.

I also used to have an addiction to Pizza when I was very young. I never got fat though because of my fast metabolism, but it was a really poor diet to be on. Now, I would rarely ever eat any junk food at all.

I have to say I'm addicted to food, period! There are certain foods that it's harder for me to control intake amounts, but mostly I just like to EAT! :) I've had to be very careful about it and have drastically changed my habits, because I was very overweight and unhappy about it. So....I don't let myself go overboard very often and I try to stay away from food that, when eaten in large amounts are detrimental to my waistline. Popcorn is one thing that I can eat a LOT of! I pop my own, the "old fashioned" way, in oil and then salt and butter it. YUM! We have this once or twice a week. And if I start eating chocolate chip cookie dough while I'm making cookies I'm sunk (and yeah, I know the raw eggs aren't good for me....). So that I actually try to avoid.

I recently came off a Keto diet which involved my fasting quite a bit, but until I began that diet I didn't realize how often I would eat. I ate all the time, whether I was bored or doing something that could easily involve eating. I always ate. Since my diet I have cut down on eating a lot, and possible overcame what may have been a food addiction.

I am obsessed with Frito Chips and Onion dip. You know the kind of dip that you make with onion soup mix and sour cream? I love it! I am currently dieting, so I really try to stay away from making that dip at all! I love veggies, and don't mind eating the dip with carrots or broccoli, but there is something about the saltiness of the Fritos combined with the onion flavor that I just can't get enough of!

My food fetish is french fries. I love Mcdonalds fries (as long as they are fresh), and shoestring french fries from the grocery store. I have always loved them, and I would find it very hard to give them up.

I love spicy and pickled things, I can't have enough of them. Many times I have consumed a whole jar of pickled Pepperoncini peppers in one sitting. In Thailand they have this sausage you can buy at the food carts and they give you raw chili peppers to eat with them and I would eat tons. Anything salty too, I have consumed whole jars or cans of Anchovies as well. Definitely have food addiction problems.

Chocolate....anything chocolate, I think. The darker the better, and I like the semi-sweet, or even a little bitter, and so dark it is almost black.
I pretty much try to stay away from chocolate, or have it in a situation where it is limited, because I know that once I taste that rich, chocolatey goodness, I won't know when it is time to stop, and will have too much.
I LOVE chocolate raspberry coffee in the morning, with a good dollop of milk in it, and that awesome mix of chocolate and berry smell and taste.
Just bringing it home from the store makes my whole car smell so wonderful, and I have left it in there overnight to really permeate the car with the coffee fragrance.

I forgot about bruschetta! I'd never had it until I helped my nephew make it at a family gathering a few years ago. Now...oh my goodness! Fresh bread, fresh mozarella, freshly picked basil....all sprinkled with balsamic vinaigrette! I could eat the entire plate full myself!!!!

And....somehow I managed to forget about the slice of fresh tomato!

TwinkleBell, my hubby's an ice cream addict, too. Sometimes when I ask what he wants for dinner he'll say "ice cream". I have to be careful how often I eat it, but this guy can eat big old bowlful and not seem to put on weight. :( And if he knows we're getting low he needs to go out and buy more before we use up what we have!

I love Mexican food too. I could eat a couple of giant, overstuffed burritos every day if I didn't stop myself.

I'm also chemically dependent on coffee. If I don't have my daily caffeine, I get headaches and flu-like symptoms. I just bought 3 bags of coffee today so that I don't run out of my "drug".

I'm with you now on the coffee, I have to have my coffee in the morning and can't go without it because of the caffeine withdrawal symptoms I get and I get them really bad, it feels like my head wants to explode if I miss a day without my daily dose of caffeine. Gotta have, and it is so good and relaxing to have a nice hot cup of coffee first thing in the morning!

I wouldn't call it an addiction, but I know what you mean about the fresh mozzarella. It is so good you have a hard time stopping yourself.
I really like good chocolate as well.

I am absolutely addicted to guacamole. I am from Asia and never really had any experience with Mexican food apart from churros and burritos but when I came here and had really tasty Mexican food, I was instantly addicted to guacamole and I didn't even like avocados much. I always thought they were kind of slimy and slippery as a kid. Now, I try to make guacamole at least once a week to eat with chips or just on its own.

Chocolate is my addiction too. I can eat it at any time of the day and even after a really heavy meal, I still have my chocolate craving when clearly I shouldn't be eating anything else. The difference with me though, is that I can't mix it with something like fruits.

It depends on how hungry I am and what I'm in the mood for. I can't trust myself around Mexican food. Then sometimes it's Italian food. Pizza is trouble! Chocolate is perfect, too, most of the time!
