We can all agree that these are over proofed, correct?! Was going to give up on my doughnut dough but my daughter asked for some and they were my worst batch yet :( So darn dense inside

Oh no, I totally get the frustration! Overproofed doughnuts can be such a letdown, especially when you're trying to make them for someone special. It sounds like they might have gone a bit too long during the proofing stage, which can lead to that dense texture inside. Next time, you might want to keep a closer eye on the dough during the final rise. If the dough looks like it's doubling too quickly, it's usually a sign to start frying sooner rather than later. Don’t give up, though! Baking is all about trial and error, and I’m sure your next batch will be much better.
